Police arrested Bryan Maclean Howard, the driver of the truck, on Tuesday afternoon on eight charges of driving under the influence manslaughter. The crash occurred in Dunnellon, Marion County on Tuesday morning at around 6:30am. Ian Thomas Cleary, 31, of Saratoga, California , is accused of assaulting Pennsylvania college student Shannon Keeler in 2013 before sending her the chilling DM. He was detained in the northeastern French city of Metz last month, officials confirmed on Tuesday. Cleary will be held pending extradition proceedings.

The team of prosecutors who convicted socialite Rebecca Grossman, 60, have suddenly been removed from the case. Grossman was found guilty of second-degree murder and manslaughter in February. An Amazon security guard tried to kill his supervisor at close range before shooting a police officer in a dramatic shoutout that was caught on bodycam footage.  Ali Hamsa Yusuf, 22, was fatally shot by police after he shot an officer who was saved by his bulletproof vest, authorities said.
